The NBA trade window has closed.

All the action from Yahoo Sports that will impact the NBA this season and going forward is available here.At the deadline, the Lakers fail to reach a deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers failed to reach a trade agreement during the trade deadline on Thursday.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, the Lakers actively pursued trades prior to the deadline, but they believed that any move would only result in a “marginal upgrade at too steep a cost.”

In the days before the deadline, the Lakers were actively looking for deals and concluded that any deal would only be a slight upgrade at an excessive cost.

The Lakers will allegedly remain active in the buyout market and try to acquire someone who can have a significant influence going forward, even though they were unable to reach an agreement by Thursday afternoon. This summer, the Lakers will also have three first-round draft picks at their disposal. In addition, they are apparently in the running to sign Spencer Dinwiddie after he clears waivers. Born and raised in the Los Angeles region, Dinwiddie averaged 12.6 points and six assists throughout his Nets career.

As of the deadline, the Lakers had a 27–25 record, good for ninth place in the Western Conference rankings. Before their game against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, they had won three in a row and five of their previous seven.

Grizzlies waive Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo is on the move again.

The Memphis Grizzlies waived Oladipo shortly after the trade deadline on Thursday, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Oladipo has not played yet this season while recovering after he tore his left patellar tendon in the playoffs last year. He was traded to Memphis from Houston earlier this month.

Oladipo will now land with his fifth team after sustaining his injury. He was moved from the Miami Heat to the Oklahoma City Thunder before landing in Houston. The 31-year-old averaged 10.7 points and 3.5 assists in 42 games off the bench last season in Miami.

Hawks not moving Dejounte Murray; other big names staying put

It appears the biggest name on the trade market is staying put.

Atlanta is planning to keep combo guard Dejounte Murray, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Multiple teams were interested in the All-Star, who is averaging 21.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds for Atlanta this season.

The eight-year veteran’s four-year, $120 million extension kicks in next season with a player option in the final year.

According to Wojnarowski, the Raptors are also keeping Bruce Brown, whom they acquired via trade from the Pacers in January, and the Bulls are keeping Andre Drummond, per Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes………….
