After a three-year-old youngster passed away “unexpectedly” at his festival, CarFest, last weekend, comedian Chris Evans has spoken out.
The 58-year-old DJ and host also disclosed his intentions to honor the child, provided his family—whom he described as “amazing”—agrees. Just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, emergency personnel, including an air ambulance, rushed to CarFest at Laverstoke Park Farm. The kid was rushed to the hospital, according to the police, but regrettably passed away soon after.
Following the tragedy, Evans discussed the toddler’s death for the first time on his Virgin Radio show. He also gave an explanation for why he had delayed talking about what had happened. “I feel it’s really important that I talk about another family,” he stated.
“A story about a little boy who tragically lost his life after a medical incident at CarFest late on Saturday night appeared yesterday and is reported again today. This is a very special family. They are a very beautiful family. They are a gorgeous family.”
“The family has repeatedly urged the CarFest staff and myself to maintain their privacy while they grieve their tremendous loss, as media have properly reported. Which is just what we have been doing, naturally, and the reason we haven’t shared any information about this subject with you thus far. He continued by saying that he had spoken with the father of the late little child, whom he did not identify but who had asked him to share a significant message with the audience.
He continued, saying, “That being stated, the father of the young kid contacted me by phone on Wednesday afternoon, August 28, asking me to issue a genuine appeal to everyone moving ahead. And this is all that’s asked for. Could everyone please make sure their phones are equipped with the fantastic What Three Words app? “The father of the young child is certain that What Three Words played a crucial role in allowing the emergency services to pinpoint his exact location at the accessible campsite during CarFest and promptly respond to his son’s grave medical emergency.”
“That included the CarFest first responders, the police, the fire department, the ambulance service, and the air ambulance. Sadly, as we now know, they did not succeed in saving the young kid in spite of their greatest efforts. However, his father is adamant that What Three Words offered the finest opportunity for assistance to those experts who are most qualified to do it. After their son’s passing, he referred to the family as “selfless” for considering others who might be helped by the app. “I need you to know, after discovering more about this amazing family, it speaks so precisely to the character of who they are and how they are as people,” he continued, speaking straight to the audience.
“A family whose young son faced the most serious, intricate underlying health challenges from the moment of his birth and for the duration of his brief but glorious life.” He went on to say that the boy’s parents were aware of how short their son’s life would be. “His parents always appreciated the beginning of each new day since they knew this day would arrive and that it would probably do so sooner rather than later. He said, “He was still with them.”
“It appears that they gave it their all to make sure he was being loved as much as anyone has ever been loved before, based on what I’ve learned and heard over the last week.” “Therefore, with their permission and only with their explicit permission, which I am yet to gain, that next year’s CarFest will be held in this little boy’s name,” he declared, announcing his desire to honor the child during the event the next year.
