This week, a Barcelona prodigy will sign a new five-year contract with a €500 million release clause.
Barcelona has been putting a lot of effort into contract extensions in the past few weeks. Agreements with Fermin Lopez and Gerard Martin are reportedly finalized, and Marc Bernal’s new contract will also be confirmed.
Sport said that the latter is anticipated to sign his deal later this week. Barcelona have opted to reward the 17-year-old pivot wonder for his early season prowess, but his involvement in the 2024-25 campaign is already gone because of a major knee injury. Although Bernal will shortly sign the agreement, it won’t take effect until after he turns 18 in May of next year. The arrangement between himself and Barcelona will extend until 2009, and the release clause in his new contract is reported to be €500m. Bernal is highly trusted by Barcelona, and they will keep helping him during the next ten to twelve months while he recovers. There is a great deal of faith that he will triumph in Catalonia, even after his serious knee injury.
