Emma Raducanu posts exciting update as British star returns to action.
Emma Raducanu has not played a match in almost two months after getting injured.
Emma Raducanu shared an exciting update as she returned to the tennis court after spending seven weeks on the sidelines.
The world No. 58 has not played a match since injuring her foot at the Korea Open in September.
But she shared a snippet of her latest practice session on Sunday after sharing her intentions to return to competition as soon as next week.
Raducanu’s season was derailed when she sprained ligaments in her foot during her Korea Open quarter-final. She retired from the match and has since pulled out of several tournaments including the WTA 1000 in Beijing.
But the former US Open champion could soon be back in action as Britain take on Germany at next week’s Billie Jean Cup Finals. Raducanu’s camp recently confirmed she was “training well” and that her focus was on being with the team next week.
And she appeared to tease her return with footage from her latest practice session. The 21-year-old shared a video of herself serving on a court at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
She later posted a photo inside the NTC gym. It comes after Raducanu was forced to delay her comeback after pulling out of the recent Hong Kong Tennis Open.
