Crisp Signs To Join UNC WBB.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Trayanna Crisp will join the UNC women’s basketball team as a transfer student-athlete, Carolina coach Courtney Banghart announced Monday. Crisp, who has played two years at Arizona State, is the second transfer to sign with the Tar Heels in the offseason, following Grace Townsend in April.
A 5-8 guard from Goodyear, Ariz., Crisp played in all 31 games and started 28 for the Sun Devils last season. Her 12.1 points per game ranked second on the team and she also ranked second in assists with 2.1 per game. She led her team in threes per game, averaging 1.4. Her 34.2 minutes per game ranked third on the team and ninth in the Pac-12. She scored in double figures 24 times in the season’s 31 games.
Crisp comes to Chapel Hill with two years of eligibility remaining. The daughter of Tracie and Trey Pinkston, she has a twin sister, Bryanna, and two younger brothers, Nelly and Nathan.
“I chose UNC because of the family atmosphere, and the great coaching staff,” Crisp said. “Coach Banghart and the team has welcomed me with open arms. Truly blessed to be a part of this team. I am most excited to get to work with the squad and win games!”
