Daniel Farke sack calls at Leeds United now extreme after developments.
Micah Richards believes calls for Leeds United to sack Daniel Farke already are “extreme”, stating that they will still secure promotion.
The manager is already under heavy pressure at Elland Road after being winless in their opening three matches in all competitions, with frustration growing around the summer transfer window.
Having narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season, Farke is expected to take Leeds up at the second time of asking, and Richards believes he can achieve that this term.
Speaking via The Rest is Football podcast on Wednesday (21 August), Richards said: “For Leeds, it’s so difficult. They’re like Aston Villa in that they’ve got such a passionate fanbase and the expectations are humungous.
“Leeds started the season with a 3-3 draw against Portsmouth. Aaronson could have scored a last-minute winner. I was reading on websites and Twitter, that fans saying that Daniel Farke should be out.
“That’s just extreme. I think they’ll be fine – I still back them to go up. I just feel that everything is scrutinised at this moment.”
