Stefanos Tsitsipas sought comfort in the company of his girlfriend, Paula Badosa, after a 6-7(5), 3-6 quarterfinal loss to the seventh seed Arthur Fils at the 2024 Swiss Indoors Basel. The defeat has severely impacted Tsitsipas’ chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals (November 10-17).
Shortly after the match, Paula Badosa posted adorable pictures of the two on Instagram.
As a former 2019 ATP Finals champion, Tsitsipas has consistently appeared at the year-end championships for the past five years. This season, however, his qualification prospects are dim.
Following the Swiss Indoors loss, Tsitsipas is ranked 12th in the ATP Race to Turin with 2,975 points, earning 100 points from the tournament. Up next for Tsitsipas is the Paris Masters, which will take place from October 28 to November 3.
Paula Badosa, on the other hand, ended her 2024 season after announcing her withdrawal from the Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis in Tokyo due to health issues.
