Who is in and who is out for the Rose Bowl matchup against Oregon?
PASADENA, CA — There were no unexpected injuries listed on Ohio State football’s injury report for their match against Oregon on Wednesday.
The Buckeyes announced that quarterback Mason Maggs, running back TC Caffey, center Seth McLaughlin, left lineman Josh Simmons, and safety Brenten Jones would not be playing in the Rose Bowl.
Simmons hasn’t played for Ohio State since sustaining a season-ending injury during a defeat to Oregon on October 12. His replacement, Zen Michalski, was hurt two weeks later, so left guard Donovan Jackson had to take his position.
McLaughlin added to the offensive line injury list after tearing his Achilles during a practice leading into a Nov. 23 game against Indiana.
Carson Hinzman has since taken his spot at center. At guard, Ohio State has rotated players.
Against Tennessee in the first round of the College Football Playoff, Luke Montgomery, Austin Siereveld, and Tegra Tshabola split reps among the two guard spots.
Kickoff between the Buckeyes and Ducks is slated for 5 p.m. Eastern.
