USC wide receiver Makai Lemon is hospitalized after suffering an injury, according to a CBS broadcast.
According to the CBS broadcast, USC wide receiver Makai Lemon is being transported to the University of Michigan hospital following what seems to be a head injury sustained late in the first quarter versus Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Lemon sustained an injury while playing punt coverage for the Trojans.
A Michigan gunner crossed the field and plastered Lemon from his left side as he broke down field. Lemon appeared shaky as he walked off after being helped up after a few minutes on the field.
According to sideline reporter Jenny Dell, Lemon spent a little time in the injury tent before being brought to the locker room and, ultimately, the hospital.
As the teams returned to the field after halftime, Dell provided one more update on Lemon, stating that USC head coach Lincoln Riley had stated that Lemon would be “OK.”
