MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Roads in Bethesda have reopened after a Montgomery County police officer was deemed to be “in distress.”
In a post on X just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said several officers were near Potomac Tennis Lane and Falls Road. Drivers traveling in the Potomac area were encouraged to seek alternative routes due to the heavy police presence.
MCPD told DC News Now that there was a “person in distress,” and officers were working to resolve the situation, which was no threat to the community.
