Kelly Rowland’s Rep Calls Singer ‘One of the Kindest’ Humans Days After She Walked Off Today Set
A source previously told PEOPLE of Rowland’s disappearance from ‘Today’ that “Kelly walked out because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room”
Kelly Rowland’s representative is breaking her silence on the singer and actress.
Yvette Noel-Schure, who represents the former Destiny’s Child member, shared a statement with Entertainment Tonight about her client after Rowland walked off the Today set last week due to issues with her dressing room.
“After 28 years of knowing her, Kelly Rowland remains one of the kindest, most amiable humans I have ever met and have had the blessing to represent,” Noel-Schure said.
PEOPLE has reached out to Noel-Schure for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
Last week, the “Motivation” singer, 43, had reportedly been tapped to guest host on the morning show’s 8 a.m. hour and then was slated to return to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour as guest co-host of Today with Hoda & Jenna. However, when the lights went up, it was Rita Ora in the guest seat across from Hoda Kotb.
“Kelly walked out because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” a source told PEOPLE on Friday. “Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was.”
Page Six, which first broke the news, reported that the singer had left between the show segments because of a mishap with her dressing room.
