Chiefs GM Brett Veach Ready to Ink More Contracts
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to keep a lot of their young talent and lock them up for the future.
The Kansas City Chiefs just re-signed young star Creed Humphrey and made him the league’s highest-paid center. Now, they are looking to make more moves and lock up more of their young talent.
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach joined the broadcast of the team’s last preseason game with Ari Wolfe and Trent Green, and he talked about what he is looking to do in terms of new contracts.
“Needless to say, we’re extremely excited to continue Creed’s career here,” Veach said. “He’s been great for our organization, and look, we’ve been very fortunate to have really a good group of young guys, and hopefully we’re able to get a little bit more work done with some of these other young guys as well.”
The Chiefs are looking to keep their dynasty alive as long as possible, and the best way to do that is to re-sign your young stars as soon as you can.
One guy that could be getting a new contract soon is linebacker Nick Bolton, as he is going to be one of the anchors of the defense for years to come. He is just 24 years old and is already one of the best at his position.
If the Chiefs are able to lock him up, as well as their other young stars, the team could be in great position to contend for years to come.
