CUT-The NFL’s cutdown deadline is set for Tuesday, August 28, at 4 p.m., at which time all teams must have their rosters trimmed to the 53-man limit. However, teams are already making moves.
Following their signing of former New England Patriots receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, the Kansas City Chiefs have released backup quarterback Ian Book, according to NFL.

Book’s release comes despite a two-touchdown performance in Thursday’s preseason finale loss to the Chicago Bears, where he completed six of his nine passes for 71 yards.
