Human remains were discovered on the shoreline of Brooklyn Bridge Park, marking the third time in one month that police recovered bones from the iconic landmark.
New York City police officers responded to a 911 call about bone fragments along the shore of 10 Dock Street around 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Video shows the officers combing through rocks along the water across from the famous Jane’s Carousel – which was built in 1922 and donated to the park in 2011 following years of restoration.
The woman who discovered the bones said she was intentionally looking around after learning about other remains being found in the same area in the previous week.
‘I’m thinking how do bones happen to be by a carousel? So I’m looking at the rocks around the carousel and lo and behold,’ Brooklyn resident Huntly Cooper told WABC.
