On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that third-year wide receiver Skyy Moore was being placed on their injured reserve list.
Moore, who has struggled to find his groove through six games, was not listed on Kansas City’s injury report on Wednesday but was said to have a core injury. He will be unable to return for at least four weeks but may be out longer depending on the severity of his injury and the Chiefs’ needs at the receiver position later in the season.
When Kansas City traded for star pass-catcher DeAndre Hopkins earlier this week, it seemed that Moore’s role in the Chiefs’ offense would likely diminish, though the team is still lacking its top two receivers in Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and Rashee Rice.
